A jubilant news for the CEENA children is that a memo of understanding has formally been signed by the Hashoo Foundation (HF) and CEENA Welfare Services. Accordingly, the tertiary education of the CEENA children will be sponsored by the HF.
Students entering to professional colleges and universities will be offered scholarships by the HF. This has been possible with the compassionate and gracious gesture of Chairperson Hashoo Foudation, Sarah Hashwani. The Chairman CEENA expressed his gratitude to Sarah Hashwani for her long-term commitment and compassion for the education and wellbeing of CEENA children.

A glorious event titled "Youm-e-Shuhada" to honour the Martyrs of Pakistan Army who sacrificed their lives for defending the homeland, held at FCNA Auditorium Gilgit on April 25, 2011. The event was graced by the Governor Gilgit-Baltistan, Syed Pir Karam Ali Shah; Commander FCNA, Major General Ikram-Ul-Haq top-notch Military and Civilian Officers, eminent figures of the region and families of the martyrs.
For stage performance, the school children of three renowned institutions of the town (i.e.) Public School & College (PSC), Army Public School & College (APSC) and CEENA children had been tasked to prepare thematic items (national songs, patriotic plays, skits etc). The best items had to be selected for the final day. Based on the competition among the selected institutions; one item each was assigned to PSC and APSC; while three items of CEENA children had been selected for the final event.
On the glorious day, the flag hoisting ceremony held at the FCNA Headquarters Gilgit. The event officially started with the recitation of Holy Verses. The national anthem was played to mark the event. The entire auditorium was glitter and shine with the proud faces of the families of the martyrs and the splendor of the defenders of the homeland (the Pak Army). The heroic and gallantry stories of the martyrs were presented; the audience paid a glorious tribute to the Pak Army and Shuhada for their bravery and valor. The spectacular and awesome performances of the children enthralled the audience. An avid CEENA boarder, Seemi Bano exotically reenacted the famous national song "roshan tera ankhon ma wafa ka jo diya hain". The song played with the video display of the marvels of the Pak Army; it got a huge round of applause from the audience. She was awarded with a special prize for her brilliant performance.
The Commander FCNA and Governor Gilgit-Baltistan in their speeches paid a rich tribute to the Martyrs of Pak Army for their sacrifices in defending our beloved country. The families of martyrs were honored with the gifts and token of appreciations. The splendorous event concluded with the renewing the pledge of not letting any stone unturned for the defence of the country.Salute to Pak Army and Martyrs!
